Modeling of air pollution (Carbon monoxide and Nitrogen oxides) from vehicles in the city of Mashhad ABSTRACTBackground & objectives: The share of cars in large cities is obtained in the production and emission air pollution about 70%, and this is of fossil fuels mainly. Environment simulation in the form of environmental models to be many benefits, such as modeling accuracy and speed, particularly with the use of modern computers is very high. Using the model, scholars, researchers, administrators and policymakers can without time spending in the real world, to test the effects of new programs and ideas.This study has been done for aim determine the model of air pollution (carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides) from cars in Mashhad in 89 year.Methods: Modeling based on Stella software, was performed according to the obtained data from Traffic Numbering, Traffic and Transportation organizations, and air quality changes model was designed in relation to the increase in vehicles. And finally, this model has predicted air pollution in the following years.Results: According to pollutants increasing trend in the following years, 4 ways in the software was applied that including, to reduce import vehicles, increase disposed cars, reducing distance and Euro 4 standard application, that results showed a decreasing trend for these pollutants.Conclusion: It’s better that implementing policies to proceed for reduce pollutants with reduce the distance method. Because, according to exit data of software most pollutants reduction has been achieved using this method. With the application all methods proposed in results, have decreased more than 70% for carbon monoxide and 80% for nitrogen oxides in 50 following years.
